Gordy’s Sichuan Café served their first customer in 1997 and has had a faithful and growing following since that day. The founders, Gordy and Jamie Crafts, set out to bring authentic Sichuan cuisine to Spokane, and that is exactly what they did. 

Gordy’s training by master Sichuan chefs, and years of experience as a chef at the premier Sichuan restaurant The O’mei in Santa Cruz, CA laid the foundation for serving freshly prepped meats and vegetables using traditional Sichuan ingredients such as hot chili peppers, hot bean paste and of course the tingly, numbing Sichuan peppercorns (hua Jao).


Gordy's is currently owned and operated by Casey Riendeau, who has been a chef at Gordy's for 17 years, and his wife Leigh Riendeau. Not only has this duo kept up the traditions and style of Sichuan cuisine, they have honored the traditions of the founders and continue to offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options to choose from, and serve regional wine and beer.
